Gelion’s Endure™ battery can be completely discharged to zero volts, performs at high temperature and is inherently a fire retardant. This makes it ideal for remote communities as well as agricultural, mining and fresh water needs.

The batteries will provide scalable storage for solar and wind farms, grid stability and large-scale commercial and industrial customers.

Gelion’s battery uses materials that are abundant, inexpensive, recyclable and abuse-tolerant.

Gelion’s Endure™ uses a unique gel electrode that transforms zinc-bromide technology into a high-efficiency non-flow battery.

Our 3D electrode’s large surface area improves electric conductivity, allowing the permeation of the electrolyte for the bromide reaction. This creates highly efficient chemical and electrical energy conversion.

Bromide Positive Plate

This conductive metal plate provides low-resistance contact to the gel layer. It efficiently distributes electric charge and provides a path for electric current flow.

Separator Membrane

Porous sheet separating the zinc and bromide electrodes. This barrier minimises self-discharge and inhibits dendrite growth, without impacting ion transportation between electrodes.

Zinc Negative Plate

Conductive metal plate that reduces cell resistance and provides a desirable surface for zinc plating. The surface structure promotes even growth and good adherence for the zinc.
